The Sketchfest SF schedule is out and RiffTrax is on it.
Kevin and Bill will host a night of shorts at the Castro Theater Thursday, Jan. 20, at 9:30 p.m. with special guests Paul F. Tompkins, Maria Bamford and frequent RiffTrax Presents team Cole Stratton and Janet Varney. Update: Adam Savage of TV’s “Mythbusters” has been added to the lineup of this show. An alert emailer who does not give his or her name suggests, following up on the recent thred in which we asked which MST3K character would you invite for Thanksgiving dinner…
Okay, a LITTLE harsh (but only a little). I was thinking something more along the lines of my choice: I would get Kenny some long pants. What would be your pick? Money is no object! As previously announced, the VOD release for “Santa Claus and the Ice Cream Bunny” is now available. [The burn-to-DVD version is coming soon.] Watch a sample and download it here. No no no no no…don’t pass out on us now. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s a new short… Our friends at tvshowsondvd.com tell us that Amazon is listing a release date of March 8, 2011 and a retail price of $41.99 for the MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000: VOLUME XX DVD set. Amazon has also posted the following cover art:
There’s still no word on what extras will be included, but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out. If you’d like to pre-order the set, we’d appreciate it if you used THIS LINK. Another holiday gift option for the MSTie on your list:
Our pal Daniel Griffith of Ballyhoo Pictures, the guy who made several of those awesome extras on the recent Shout! Factory sets, has set up an ebay store to sell holiday gift sets he’s assembled, including collections aimed specifically at MST3K fans. Take a look. |
