Josh Pens Sky Magazine Piece

Our pal “Toolmaster” Jeff was on a recent Delta flight and opened Sky Magazine to discover a piece about bad movies by a certain J. Elvis Weinstein!

He’s scanned it and posted it on his site.

Thanks, Jeff!

Weekend Discussion Threads: Joel/Mike Double Features

Alert reader Mike in Portland writes:

At our MST3K meetup group, we run a double feature each time, with one Joel episode and one Mike episode. We’ve done combos like Girls Town/Manos, and we just saw Godzilla vs. Megalon/Devil Fish. What episodes would go together well in a double feature? Remember, there must be one Joel episode and one Mike episode.

For me, I’d have to go with Bride of the Monster/The Violent Years. Plenty of Ed Wood to go around!

What’s your pick?

Update: One other note–in their latest email the Titans offered this tantalizing tidbit:

“Those of you in the St. Louis area, KETC-TV will be showing our episode “Doomsday Machine” on weekends throughout September – along with pledge breaks featuring Joel and Frank. Check your local listings.”

We didn’t want to post about it until we knew more, and now we do. We spoke to folks at KETC today and they said the pledge drive will begin on or around Sept. 12 and the exact schedule they’re going to use isn’t set yet. They’ll let us know when it is and we’ll let you know. But it won’t be for another 10 days at least.
