Hugh Hart at wired.com pegs a list of the 24 cheesiest movies ever made to this weekend’s relase of “Piranha 3D.”
He quotes Mike, Kevin and Bill, and includes 9 MST3K movies and 5 RiffTrax movies. Some of the pictures don’t match the movie he’s talking about. He also includes a couple of titles I’ve never heard of, but which sound interesting. And I think he’s dead wrong about “Tremors,” and I don’t care who knows it. Frank Conniff is the guest of comics and filmmakers Graham Elwood and Chris Mancini on the latest edition of their Comedy Film Nerds podcast. Frank pretty much is there for the entire thing, and is very funny (of course!).
Alert reader Corey pointed us to this item, a death notice for John Galvarro, who played Larry in the short “Are You Ready for Marriage.” I haven’t been able to find an exact date of death for him. Judging from the item, it looks like he eventually was ready for marriage and a long and happy life. RiffTrax Live is coming up on Thursday, and the wave of items in the press is under way.
