On the “Overdrawn at the Memory Bank” topic, someone mentioned how unintentionally hilarious the line “Mom, my nuts?” was by itself.
I’d like to suggest a topic regarding unintentionally amusing lines in MSTed movies that didn’t require any “enhancement” from Mike/Joel and the Bots.
Example: The line “Get outta here YOU DISGUSTING WORRMMMMMM!!!!” from “Outlaw” was HYSTERICAL and it only got stunned giggles from the riffers. The line alone was funny enough.
A lot of these became stingers, of course.
I’d say one of the classics is the inexplicably rage-filled shop keeper from episode 702- THE BRUTE MAN. “Creeper! Creeper! Creeper! YOU give me the creeps!”

Posted by Sampo, on January 15th, 2010 Some folks may have seen this story and wanted to celebrate the possibilty of more Corman episodes coming the DVD. Our sources at Shout! Factory advise you to keep the champagne on ice for now, and cross your fingers. Of course, we are told, the issue of MST3K episodes featuring Corman movies came up, but so far Corman’s people have not been interested. But the hope is that, as the relationship matures, Roger might change his mind. Here’s hoping.

• Feb. 2–One show at Sketchfest in San Francisco they’ll riff “Danger on Tiki Island” at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) at The Castro Theater. $25. Get tickets here.
• Feb 19–Two shows at the Royal Oak Music Theater in Royal Oak, Michigan (near Detroit). Two different movies: 7pm: “War of the Insects”, 11pm: “Samson and the 7 Miracles.” Doors open at 6 and 10 p.m. Reserved seating! Tickets are $35; $50 to stay for both shows. Get tickets here.
• Feb. 20–Two shows at Milwaukee’s at the Turner Hall Ballroom. Update: The 7 p.m. show is sold out. Tickets still available for the 10:30 p.m. show at $24. General admission. 7pm: “War of the Insects”, 10:30pm: “Samson and the 7 Miracles.”
• April 16–One show (“War of the Insects”) at the McCarter Theater in Princeton, NJ. at 8 p.m. Reserved seating! Tickets are $25 & $30.
• April 17–Cinematic Titanic hits Broadway at the Nokia Theater Times Square, 7 p.m. Tickets are $45-$35. Buy tickets here. They’ll be riffing “”Danger on Tiki Island.” Pre-sale begins at noon Thursday, Jan. 13. The pre-sale code is “MST3K.”
Posted by , on January 13th, 2010 Frank will be was a guest on WFMU-FM’s “Night People” radio program last Wednesday night at 2:30 AM Eastern/11:30 PM Pacific. But if you’re like me, not even an appearance by Frank is enough to keep you up past your bedtime. Luckily, WFMU has archived the show for our delayed listening pleasure. The show should also be available on iTunes shortly, but as of this writing it hadn’t yet been posted.
