Mary Jo was interviewed in the Austin Decider about her fascination with a local attraction called the Cathedral of Junk. And, in passing, they mention that she will perform with local pro riffing group First off, several folks have sent me discussion thread ideas, some I will use in future weeks, some not so much. :-) But keep ’em comin’!

Good one! I’d have to go with the cheesy “invisible” face shields in “12 to the Moon.” It’s amazing how invisible they are! What’s your pick? ![]() Update: If you were interested in seeing the show live at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville, and you didn’t manage to buy a ticket when they went on sale this morning, you’re out of luck. The show sold out in a matter of minutes, then the theater freed up a few more seats at mid-morning, which were also gone lickety-split. RiffTrax is planning a live event Thursday, Aug. 20: a riffing of “Plan 9 from Outer Space” which will be performed at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville, Tenn., and beamed into movie theaters nationwide live at 8 p.m. eastern, 7 p.m. central, 6 p.m. mountain and tape delayed at 8 p.m. pacific time. The event will be hosted by Veronica Belmont, the Host of Tekzilla on Revision3 and Qore on the PlayStation Network (whatever the hell THAT means), with musical guest Jonathan Coulton and a special segment by Rich “Lowtax” Kyanka of Something Awful. All event attendees will receive FREE exclusive digital goodies: A URL and code will be revealed on-screen at the end of the event. I’ve been hearing about this “party” functionality that Netflix, via the XBox 360, will add shortly — a feature that is almost universally being referred to as “MST3K mode.”
At Comic-Con, Shout Factory has released information about “MST3K XVI,” to be released on Dec 1. It will include the following episodes:
105- THE CORPSE VANISHES with short: COMMANDO CODY PT 3 Extras: Thanks to our spy Remy for the heads up. |
