Kevin has a new blog.
And at last we come to the category of “worst director.”
Of course, Ed Wood is the most famous bad director, but I don’t really think he’s anywhere close to the worst. You could make an argument for Coleman Francis or Ray Dennis Steckler or Ted Mikels, and it would be hard for me to argue. But for me, when it comes to sheer incompetence and total failure of vision, one name stands out: Hal Warren. Nothing went right, and just about everything that went wrong — and that was pretty much everything — can be traced back to him. He’s my choice/ What’s yours? And, as the latest CT tour heads to Austin, here’s a preview. …for this weekend’s Cinematic Titanic show. And the press is already starting in Seattle, where they’ll be next weekend.  WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — Robert Quarry, a prolific actor best known for his horror-movie roles as “Count Yorga” and “the Deathmaster,” died Feb. 20 of a long-standing heart condition at the Motion Picture & Television Fund Hospital here. He was 83. MSTies will remember him Borg in episode 815- AGENT FOR H.A.R.M. Read his full obituary here.  RiffTrax is continuing to release “three riffer” commentary tracks for movies that were previously released by Legend Films with solo commentaries by Mike. This one is “Carnival of Souls.” As with the others, if you previously bought the Legend DVD, all you need is to download the commentary and you’re all set. Download it here. Free sample here. We’ve been told that all these riffs have been rewritten to varying degrees from the initial solo riff. The early solo riffs — such as this one — were not so much riffs as more typical DVD commentaries with a little riffing thrown in, and have been extensively re-written.
