A new movie about a Corman favorite

Variety is reporting that Rose McGowan has signed on to star in “Black Oasis,” the story of Roger Corman favorite Susan Cabot’s rise on the B-circuit and her death at the hands of son Timothy, who bludgeoned her with a weightlifting bar when she was 59. MSTies will remember Cabot as the priestess Enger in episode 317- VIKING WOMEN AND THE SEA SERPENT. You can read the article HERE.

New Mary Jo animation

Scott Bateman, who featured Kevin Murphy in his animated-film-a-day-for-a-year project, Bateman365, has posted an animation written and voiced by Mary Jo Pehl. Watch Mary Jo Pehl Meets The Circus Priest here:

The Mary Jo animation will be in an upcoming episode of Scott’s TV show “Scott Bateman Presents Scott Bateman Presents,” which airs Mondays at midnight on Plum TV.

Several readers have noticed that The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 9 is no longer listed on Rhino Home Video‘s web site. Our source at Rhino confirms that it’s currently unavailable, but is hopeful that it may return. Stay tuned!
