Mike gets “Cracked”

A few MST3K-related websites have received an email stating that Mike Nelson will be writing a regular “Comedy Critic” column for Cracked Magazine. This is true, and Mike tells us that he’ll be using the column to “take a look at the best and worst in comedy.” The column will initially deal with movies, but may take on other subjects in the future. Look for the relaunched “more sophisticated” Cracked Magazine at newsstands on August 15.

“Screem” for Mike

Issue #12 of Screem magazine is featuring an interview with Mike Nelson. Mike Nelson Finds Life after the Satellite of Love can be found at your local newsstand, or ordered from http://screemag.com.

Thanks to Mark Lungo for the tip!

MST3K Mention: NY Daily News

Here’s a wacky new idea: Bad movies can be fun! Oh, you knew that already, didn’t you? Well, it just occured to the folks at the New York Daily News, in a piece that includes a couple of quotes from a certain Michael J. Nelson:

AFV ad on Variety.com

To celebrate the milestone of America’s Funniest Home Videos becoming the longest running primetime entertainment program in the history of ABC–16 seasons–the writers of the show, including Trace Beaulieu and Josh Weinstein, recently placed a congratulatory ad for creator/executive producer Vin Di Bona on Variety.com. Return of the Servo

When not being stolen by Jawas, what does Tom Servo like to do while visiting the Star Wars universe? Why, hang out at the local diner with Crow and Gypsy, of course. At least, that’s what Dark Horse comics claims on page 8 of Star Wars: Tag & Bink – Revenge of the Clone Menace. Just click on Tom to see for yourself.
