 LOS ANGELES–Longtime daytime drama star Jerry Douglas died here Nov. 9. He was 88.Though soap opera fans know him as patriarch John Abbott on the CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” but MSTies know his work as Steve Perry in the movie in episode 305- STRANDED IN SPACE and Phil Prentiss in the movie in episode 1104- AVALANCHE. Wikipedia has an extensive look at his life and career. Thanks to Tim for the heads up.  Prolific voice actor Jack Angel, known for his work in “Voltron” and “Transformers” among many TV, feature film and video game credits, died on Oct. 19. He was 90.
MSTies who have already, or will over the next few months, attended the MST3K Live Time Bubble Tour currently touring the country, will hear him as the voice of Fletcher the Dummy in the movie MAKING CONTACT. Animation Magazine has a nice retrospective. |
