 WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. — Actress Arlene Golonka, perhaps best known for playing series star Ken Berry’s girlfriend on TV’s “Mayberry R.F.D.,” died here May 31. She was 85.
With a career spanning over 45 years, Golonka played recurring roles on “The Doctors,” “Joe & Valerie” and “1st & 10” and appeared in episodes of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “M*A*S*H” and “The King of Queens.” MSTies may recall that she was mentioned in a host segment in episode 805- THE THING THAT WOULDN’T DIE.  Gavin MacLeod, who cracked wise on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and guided “The Love Boat” with a steady hand, died May 29. He was 90.
MSTies may recall that he was mentioned in a host segment in episode 301- CAVE DWELLERS.
