One of the many memorable credit opening sequences for me at the moment is when the title card comes up in Experiment 1012 “Squirm”.
Then Mike, Tom and Crow react to the ‘order’ by standing/ sitting and Squirming after someone says ‘okay’
WE just finished Final Sacrifice. Clever stuff. Laughed so hard at credit sequence I can’t remember. Mike reminded me of a poor man’s Ari Gold.
For me, one of the best closing credit sequences has to be Crow’s pitch for Final Sacrifice: The Series.
For opening credits, I think the opening to Skydivers and Red Zone Cuba.

I love the closing of Escape 2000, just to hear Servo singing Separate Ways (the Journey song). He nails it. Journey is funny to begin with, but when sung by a portly red robot it rips me up.
Agree with the other two about The Final Sacrifice. Of course, Space Mutiny is pretty good too.
I love the Alien From L.A end sequence.
For the older movies that had their credit sequences at the beginning of the movie rather than the end, my pick is I Accuse My Parents. “They laughed when I accused my parents and I killed them…I don’t think they’ll be laughing nooooooooooooooowwwww…..”
The credits from #705 “Escape 2000.” Crow and Servo chanting “Leave the Bronx” in time with the music on the soundtrack, then Servo breaks into Journey’s “Separate Ways.” Priceless.
I also have to go with the Mitchell credit sequence. “Put ’em on your feet, give your dogs a treat, brother what a comfortable shoe!”
I forget what episode it is (help me out!) but the one where crow (I think its crow) goes on a long riff about “where happy unicorns live under toadstools in the land of make believe….” of course its sarcastic.

The closing credits for Manos are my choice. “No, I don’t want to be IN this movie!” and “There’s a whole buffet of loathsomeness” always stuck with me.
I’m not ashamed to admit I often get the “Mitchell” main titles song stuck in my head.

And of course, I always dig it when Servo sings the blues.
I love “Soultaker” for the line in the story about straining rubbing alcohol through pieces of burnt toast.
“Manos”, “Mitchell”, and “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” are all pretty great.
“Cave Dwellers” is good for the riffs on “Brian’s Song”. And maybe this doesn’t count, but the faux sequence from “Cave Dwellers” is pretty funny if only for the credit for body grease: Goodboy of Beverly Hills.

I have to go with Sampo for closing sequence – Tusk! I also love the list of USA Network movies at the end of Outlaw (although the recent death of Jeff Conaway makes it somewhat sad now).
For opening sequence, I always enjoy the Minnesota routine at the beginning of “The Day the Earth Froze”. It sounds like one of my family reunions.

I especially enjoy the beginning and end credit sequences for The Movie (This Island Earth). “This island earth can be yours if the price is right” pretty much defines the genre. And to this day “the amazing Rando!” flits through my head on a regular basis.
On a more general level, I love the feeling I get as either Joel or Mike and the ‘bots settle into the movie via the opening credits. In spite of the fact that you know they watched the movie (too) many times during the writing process they give me the feeling that they’re actually watching this bad movie for the first time. And also in general, the end credits are a great way to forget the pain of the actual movie–or exorcise it, or take revenge on it (or the actors, or the people who made it [I’m thinking about Rick Sloane at the moment]), or something.
I’m going with Parts: The Clonus Horror. All three of them do a great job doing Peter Graves Biography impressions.
None of these suggestions are as good as LASERBLAST (according to Leonard Maltin…)
Definitely Hobgoblins’ end credits where they interview Rick Sloane. Classic.
Monster A Go Go is my favorite opening credits sequence during MST3K because of the comedy set-up. The jokes during the credit sequence are scripted as if Joel and the ‘Bots haven’t seen them before. Joel and Servo express foreboding about how bad and incompetent the movie looks, Crow stays optimistic and says he’s gonna “riff away” like crazy, gives it a try for a few seconds, then totally caves in and says despondently “this is gonna suck!” just moments later. Hilarious opening sequence and I enjoy it every time I watch it, which has been quite a lot.
Oh, and Overdrawn at the Memory Bank where they call technical support.
Definitely the Fem-e movie battle at the end of Alien from L.A… Tusk!
Hands down “TUSK!” is my favorite closing credits.
My second being the closing credits for “Final Sacrifice” when they pitch the idea for a show with Rowsdowzer and Troy. Hilarious!
Second for Overdrawn. The operator just sounded so darn smug that I wanted to reach through the phone and…oh wait, I’m thinking of the last time I called tech support.
GORGO:
SERVO — Overwhelmed by the unusually sweet melody of the opening theme (oddly gentle for a monster movie), he commences to do a beautiful rendition of Danny Boy, replacing “Danny” with “Gorgo”.
MIKE — Right after Servo, also inspired by the same meoldy, does a powerful Paul Robeson-esque, “DOWN WITH THE OLD FOLKS AT HOME”
CROW — Seeing the name “F. A. YOUNG” up on screen, starts in with a high-pitched “Day Of The Dolphin” “Fa loves Pa…” bit.
CROW — Enjoyed his confusion in seeing the enormity of the “KING BROS” production credit in huge bold block type, considering it to be a very unusual title for a movie.
I’m with Trilaan on this one; the end of ‘Alien from L.A’, where Crow and Mike go back and forth with the insults about whom is the bigger fem (with Tom bailing out early, but staying involved as the referee), based upon their movie watching habits. This one is really funny, and part of the reason is because it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the end credits at all! If you haven’t watched it recently, re-watch it and see if it doesn’t crack you up!

Some other favorites include the opening credits joking during First Spaceship On Venus and the jokes during the credits to the serials like Radar Men From The Moon and Phantom Creeps.
By far my favorite has to be the end credits of Space Mutiny. I love all things 80’s so the songs were just a delight to listen to. My favorite line “You and your precious 80’s. It would have continued to be the 70’s if it weren’t for the 80’s”. Too funny!!

Well, I love the closing credits for “Being From Another Planet”, when they debate whether it’s the worst movie they’ve seen. Crow and Joel keep coming up with possibilities, and Tom keeps claiming BFAP is worse – hilarious!
I also love the rap the guys do at the end of City Limits. Crow’s “bite me!” is perfect.
I’ve got the opening credits of Space Mutiny pretty much memorized. “Hope John and Holiday DeCock?” “…And completely botched by David Winters.”
The USA movies list is priceless, too. Didn’t they also do a Lifetime movie version, or am I imagining things again?
Opening credits? That’s a tough one. Maybe the shoe-box formatted credits for “Five The Hard Way”, aka “Sidehackers”.
Closing credits? It has to be the whole Biography thing in Peter Graves’ voice during the closing credits of “parts:the clonus horror”. Especially when they start ripping on James Arness…
FUTURE WAR! where Mike snaps his tether and shows various examples of Forced Perspective.
“And look, your little toy rabbit becomes the star of Night Of The Lepus.”
“Mike what’s this all really about, c’mon, this is all because Joel stopped by recently, isn’t it?”

Just off the top of my head, Tom’s Joe Don mocking song at the end of Final Justice is a classic that makes me laugh as hard now as the first time it was on.

Hands down for me is the USA Network movie sketch during the closing credits of 519 Outlaw (Of Gor) – Dark Underpants, Crotchless Killers, Death Spank, The Waco Panty Raid, The Hawaii Edible-Underwear Murders – all the while I’m trying to recover from the previous entry the laughter just piles up on me.
Honorable mention goes to Brain Guy’s Observer News sketch during the split-screen end credits of 821 Time Chasers.
Most of my favorite credits have to be the FVI films, if only to see what movies they blatantly stole from.
Riffwise, it’s a tie between Cave Dwellers (Servo beatboxing the tune, Joel singing Walk Like An Egyptian, “Hey, chicken head! Hey, chicken head!” “WHO SAID THAT?!”), Alien From LA(The great chick-flick debate) and Riding With Death (“All characters depicted are really stupid and disgusting.”)
Oh God, so many great ones have already been mentioned.
The end credits to Squirm has a great one where the ending song just seems to be a bunch of random questions sung out, and M&TB think they’re being given a test.
The ending to Merlin’s Shop of Mystical WOnders has a really random one where Servo talks about another Ernest Borgnine movie that he thought was better, and he gets A BUNCH of movies mixed together. I like how Mike and Crow just sit there mostly in stunned silence.
The projected Man has an awesome one, again involving Servo, where he snaps and yells out, what I’m sure half the male audience might have been thinking, “I WANT SHEILA IN HER UNDERWEAR!”
My favorite credit sequences are the ones with songs. A personal favorite is the Girl in Lovers Lane (with Jack Elam, not Jack Lelanne). Also, can anyone tell me which episode is the one where they try and riff on every single name in the entire opening credits? I liked that one.

I love the delayed opening credits for “Hobgoblins” (I think), where alternately Crow and Servo try to leave the theater. Mike finally gets them settled down just in time for a commercial break (“D’oh!”).
