Update on Joel’s Live Show

“An Evening with Joel Hodgson” aka “How to Have a Job Like Mine” aka “Riffing Myself”…:

* … comes to the Trocadero in Philadelphia Sunday, Jan. 27, at 4 p.m.

* … comes to the Scranton Cultural Center, Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. (VIP meet-and-greet 6 p.m.). I will be taking part in this event in some small way. Looking forward to meeting some NEPA MSTies!

* … comes to the Seattle‘s SIFF Film Center (but it’s not on their calendar yet and tickets aren’t yet available). Also, “Joel Hodgson’s Movie Riff Camp (limit: 30 students)” whatever that is.

More dates when we get them.

Some kindhearted venue owner needs to get the ball rolling on this coming to somewhere in the St. Louis / Nashville / Louisvilla triangle.

I’ve got tickets for me and my brother to go to the show this Sunday in Philly. My brother’s driving, since he’s a better navigator than I am.

Now, should I also go to the Scranton show? Will he be showing the same episode afterwards? I could leave home early, visit with my Aunt June in town, go to the show, than stay overnight at my Mom’s place near Honesdale. What do you think?

Hope Seattle info comes out soon, I might make the trip if there’s enough warning.

@ Kenneth Morgan – the line up for each show says they are presenting the MST3K version of Pod People, but from my experience I go to as many of these events as I can. Being with a crowd watching an episode is great and there always seems to be something unique that happens during the shows. Given the opportunity I’d go to both. Just my two cents. So, any way, say hi to Aunt June for me if you get a chance.

Hmm… Scranton’s a little under an hour and a half from me. I just need a little peer pressure. The Cultural Center’s in a Masonic temple? Is there a secret handshake to get in? (I still think we need to have an official MSTie secret handshake.)
