I’ll probably end up having to watch this through my tablet because, last I checked, I wasn’t able to see the test through the YouTube app on my Roku.

I never could get my Roku working either. But, the YouTube app on my XBox 360 does just fine!

  3. Goshzilla says:

Yeah, the YouTube app on my Blu-Ray player works for crap too, so I’m not surprised the stream doesn’t show up. (I’ve never even been able to log into my account through it and get error messages for half of the functions.)

Strange times we live in where I can watch the stream at least three different ways on my phone, but not at all through my TV. I think I’ll try to catch Joel’s intros on the PC or phone and then just put a DVD copy on the televiewer. Skipping over the theme song should keep it synched enough. Try it, won’t us?

I can’t watch the stream because Verizon’s data charges (witch My parents’ shoe string salary can barely pay for.) And I’m on vacation in St. Louis witch has a Retrotv affiliate. But they ate doing nothing. Great. :-/

Allright! Successfully streaming through the Youtube app to my PS3! Wasn’t sure this was going to work but thanks, Shout Factory!

By the way, if anyone wants a running count, it was Joel with Crow (Trace) and Servo (Josh) in the intro, and the first movie’s Magic Voyage of Sinbad.

Stream is working just fine on my PC! Last year I was able to pause the stream when I had to leave for Thanksgiving activities, so fingers crossed that that works again!

So awesome to see Joel with the bots again!

I am geeking out to the nth power.

From what I can tell from experimentation, you can pause the stream briefly and continue where you stopped. Dunno how long you can pause it, though.

I’m playing along with my DVDs instead of staring at my phone the whole time. All that RiffTrax synching paid off!

If they have another marathon next year, I hope Mike hosts. I mean Joel’s great, but yeah, let Mike have a turn.

Hmm… a Rifftrax promo on an official MST3K function. This can only bode well for a new MST3K project, methinks.

I’m watching it through the feed at Shout!’s site. Feed didn’t even work through the Roku app on mi ipad. Hopefully it’ll work better next year. I appreciate the efforts of Shout! And the MST3K gang.

Thought that was very cool to give Rifftrax a promo and have Kevin appear. I am still holding out hope that the Joel and Mike continents can work together in some way.

Also, if I may….how great is it to have Joel back in the MST3K fold? I am a truly thankful MSTie right now.

Darn it I just got home and my pausing trick failed and Pumaman is on (left the house about 5 mins into Giant Spider Invasion) I was however able to “rewind” back to Lost Continent, I’ll take it!

I find watching on my iPad 2 that the video freezes. Sometimes I can just play it again, sometimes I need to close the browser and open it again. I’m still enjoying it.

Yeah it’s funny how only Jim and Joel make money off MST3K, but Bill is the only one to repeatedly bring it up. Some particularly bad blood between Bill and Jim or perhaps everyone else is too nice.

So the line-up this year was:

    The Magic Voyage of Sinbad
    The Giant Spider Invasion
    The Lost Continent
    Laserblast
    Pod People
    Pumaman

How do you think this compared to last year?

I thought it was fantastic. Having the bots there throughout was such a treat. Kevin Murphy will always be Tom Servo to me – but, I thought it was handled very well (and hilariously) when Joel said the bots’ voices change every few years.

Joel was great and it was just so much fun to see him with the bots again.

I thought the episode selections were great too. I was shocked Pod People wasn’t selected last year. Sinbad is a beloved episode. Pumaman is one of the best Mike eps. Laserblast was a milestone ep as it was the end of the Trace/CC era. Giant Spider Invasion is hilarious. And I absolutely adore Lost Continent. One of my top 5 all-time eps. Great unpredictable selections.

My early choices for next year:

    Master Ninja I
    Santa Claus
    Manos
    Track of the Mooniest
    Fugitive Alien
    Soultaker

You know, it really is a shame that so many of the writers don’t get any kind of check for MST3K anymore. Could we petition to change that?

I wasn’t paying consistent attention, but at least as far as I noticed, the number of viewers peaked around 13,000 in the early afternoon. Anyone know if it went higher or if that’s on a par with last year?

Genuinely surprised we didn’t see at least one of Manos, Eegah, or Prince of Space, but I guess that’s what 2015 is for. Or 2016. Or…

Terrific marathon! Thank you Joel and Co.! I think it may have been even better than last year’s. Fingers crossed that Riding with Death is picked for next year’s marathon (if there will be another one). I need me some Turkey Volume Guessing Man on Turkey Day!

@48: They actually played Manos on repeat before the stream began :-D

    FINAL SACRIFICE
    MITCHELL
