Anybody know of a way to get the annotations to work on a streaming device? PCs are so last decade.

Agreed! I’d love to be able to watch these on my iPhone. these are the only YouTube videos I’ve ever even heard of that don’t work right on a mobile device.

I love these annotated MST3Ks. It’s embarrassing to realize how many riffs I’ve missed or just plain misinterpreted.

You’re not alone. I’ve learned a quite a few things from each of these annotated episodes.

Does anybody else watch The Touch Of Satan at Xmastime? I put it on just for the wassail bits and it’s turned into a Holiday tradition somehow. Makes a nice pallette cleanser between the various Santa movies. And always check the freshness dating. You don’t want to ruin your party with skunky wassail.

I tried watching it on my laptop. The movie comes over OK, but the annotations don’t show up. This is odd, since they worked on the other annotated episodes. Any ideas on this?

Has the Fish tweeted a review of the annotated version?
Surely any editor would know where it lives.

Could it be a pop-up blocker issue? Just guessing. I want everyone to experience the joy of the annotations.

Didn’t these used to work with tamia tv and other synchtube clones?

The way I understand it, you need to have Captions turned On for the annotations to work. Problem is, most YouTube apps don’t offer that option, as far as I can tell. (The default is Off, which is usually preferable as it saves you from from those little boxes that pop up cajoling you to subscribe, check out other videos, follow links, etc.)

A nice alternative would be for the annotated episodes to be available on Shout’s streaming service, but that would be even more work for our tireless, underpayed friends at Shout Factory.

I checked and my account is set to allow both annotations and closed captioning. However, for some reason, those no longer work on MST3K episodes. I have no idea why this has happened. I suppose I could try it on a different computer and see what happens.

I use Google Chrome and annotations appear fine for me, you could try switching browsers to see if that’s the problem.
