The Americanized “Attack of the Monsters” version of Gamera vs. Guiron is currently playing Amazon Prime, last I checked. (And yes, the hero is still obsessed with traffic accidents.)

And remember, with Gammera, the extra M stands for More Meat! :)

  4. They put the wrong Chouonpu(long vowel mark) on the poster, but it’s still great!

  5. They did a great job with this riff. The original Gamera MST3K episode is one of my favorites but since this a completely different dub and edit of the film (compared to the MST3K version) and a super-widescreen print it feels really fresh. The added scenes with American actors are hilarious.

(As long as we’re talking about the movie, the non-Frank dubs, and CC Joel-era refs, yes, and not cheap coattailing public-domain desperation…)

It’s too bad that you don’t like Joel or Frank, because I think you’re missing a lot, but hey, to each his own. We all have our own likes and dislikes, and that’s one of the things that makes MST and its spin-offs so great…there’s something for everyone.

From zero to insufferable in one post.

OMG!! I like a post and only then did I look at the author, I guess, and it was everybody’s favorite; The Original Eric J! He can be amusing and non-condescending. Then, other posts by him happened. :-(
