Two RIPs

A couple notable deaths:

* Nazzareno “Neno” Zamperla (age 82), who did stunts for the movies in episodes 408- HERCULES UNCHAINED and 502- HERCULES, died in Italy March 19.
This Italian website has the news in Italian, but Google was able to haltingly translate.
Thanks to Tim for the heads up.

* Kenny Rogers (age 81), who was mentioned in a host segment in episode 414- TORMENTED. The New York Times has the story.

Kenny Rogers was really a force in the 70’s and 80’s. A handsome man with a good voice who seemed like a class act. The good ones are always missed. RIP.

Did Rogers die in his sleep? It was the best that he could hope for.

Zamperla was also one of the tavern brawlers in Hercules and the Captive Women (listed on IMDB as Hercules Conquers Atlantis).

  4. “Hi, I’m Kenny Rogers, and I feel like singing a sad song for all those guitars out there, gathering dust in the closet…”
(To those of you born after the 70’s, these words will mean nothing.)
