A pandemic movie? Now? Very much on the plus side there is Vincent Price. Boy, he could really play a high functioning depressed guy, that’s for sure.

If you’re interested, and you happen to live in one of a few selected markets in the Southeast, you can see this unriffed tonight on Nightmare Theatre. It’s a horror movie series out of Pensacola’s PBS station WSRE, but a few other PBS stations in the area have picked it up. It’s not the greatest horror movie series out there (Elvira and Svengoolie have nothing to worry about), but it has a certain charm to it. It’s heavily influenced by MST3K, even using many of the same movies, and it even had a segment on one show featuring Bill and Jonah. If you don’t live in the area, they actually have all their episodes up on YouTube, including this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31Yp1D2VhMo

  6. Kenneth Morgan says:

This is actually a pretty good movie, though the riffing potential is there.

And today is the birthday of Richard Matheson, who wrote “I Am Legend”, the book this movie is based on. Actually, this is probably the closest film adaptation of the book as yet produced.

    Regarding the cover art…

For what it’s worth, Vincent Price’s eyes were blue.
