I’m currently at work where the computer blocks streaming video. So perhaps someone pass on the titles of the riffing targets as they’re announced.

They didn’t want to reveal any movies without Joel there. It was super fun watching Gamera with that jumbled cast though!

If you missed any, YouTube has them up so you can watch them whenever you want.

it’s not the same without the live chat, though
of course we know YT has like 90% of the classic episodes

I agree! I was a little dubious that this would work but they have been a TON of laughs, sprinkled with occasional insights. Kudos to everybody.

I couldn’t watch the Saturday one live, but I did watch it that evening. It isn’t the same as live, but still fun seeing it. Been watching on YouTube.

It’s worth a mention that Josh and Mary Jo will be writing for the new season and appearing as Dr. Erhardt and Pearl, respectively. I expect will get a similar announcement about Bill as Brain Guy on Tuesday.

Jackbox Game Night was a lot funnier than I expected. I have to say I’m really starting to warm up to the new cast more.
I’m not too familiar with Team Emily, but Nate(Crow) totally won me over with his Ed Wynn impressions. If he had done that for the entire 2 1/2 hours, it wouldn’t have been enough. I nearly ruptured something I was laughing so hard!

Yeah, because one of my favorite sub-genres of Mystery Science Theater movies, I’m just fascinated by it, is just, whenever just two episodes of a TV show or a pilot or something are stitched together and they try and say it’s a movie. I always think those are just the weirdest experiments.

A MiSTie after my own heart! I really hope they bring back television movies, feature-length pilots, and strung-together episodes, especially from the 70s and the 80s. I can’t get enough of them!

Sorry, Terry the Sensitive Knight, I was wanting to use the block quote for an article quote and used you, but forgot to remove/change the name, and of course I can’t change or even remove the comment. My bad, didn’t mean to misrepresent you.

The livestreams have been great, and I have to say, the streams have really endeared me to the new crew, especially the ones without Joel or any of the older crew. Gives us a chance to see how they work. The impressions, especially Ed Wynn, had me laughing hard. I hope we see more impressions like this in the episodes. Here’s to making it to a full 12! Getting excited for the Gizmoplex!

LOL I was pretty confused for a moment there, but I also 100% agree that the “slap episodes of a show together and call it a movie” are some of the best ones.

I agree. The patched together tv movie was a favorite of mine, especially 814- Riding with Death.

Well that was great. ‘Werewolf’ is one of the best.
Also JOEL REVEALED NEW MOVIES! ‘Demon Squad’ and ‘Robot Wars’
Joel said Robot Wars was directed by Charlie Band, is that the same Charles Band who directed ‘Lasterblast’?

It is the same Charles Band, although he produced Laserblast, not directed. Band is a VERY prolific filmmaker of cheesy horror films, especially the direct to video films of Full Moon Films like Puppet Master, The Dungeonmaster/RageWar (famously featured on The Spoony Experiment and an absolutely perfect candidate for the new season), and perhaps one of the most famous bad film titles that actually was referenced on the show: Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn (that title alone is amazing). They could do an entire season of Charles Band/Full Moon Films episodes and it would be amazing.

I was a bit surprised that Jonah mentioned that, for most of the people on the show, the Mt. Airy Lodge reference in “Time Travelers” was a mystery to them. As someone who grew up in NJ and watched TV channels out of NYC, Mt. Airy Lodge commercials (along with those for Pocono Gradens Lodge and Penn Hills) were all but omnipresent.

They could do a gauntlet of the Trancers movies. The first one is good, lulling the test subject into a false sense of security. Then, Trancers 2, pretty good. It’s got Helen Hunt again. Okay. Then, deep hurting as the direct to video sequels begin, each one more wretched than the last resulting in madness.

The movie was fun as always, but the real delight was the surprise chat with Frank Dietz at the end
Always love to hear from the people who actually made the movie, and all the juicy behind-the-scenes stuff
