I never knew that Jim Carrey was in a film before the ghastly “Once Bitten.”

Major kudos to whomever at Rifftrax discovered this movie.

According to IMDB, Rubberface (1981) was first. His second film was 1983’s All In Good Taste (I doubt that!) and then Copper Mountain, also in 1983.

How long until Going Overboard is riffed? Wow, this is an all-time low, riffing the film that’s been in every bargain bin for the past 20 years

You want ghastly Once-Bitten era early Carrey? Check the backwaters of streaming for his old “The Duck Factory” sitcom….Oh. dear. GODS.
(Sort of like watching the Jimster play that nice-guy version of Season 5 Mike, but the rest of the show is one weird fever-dream.)

  9. Ray Dunakin says:

This movie is basically a 60-minute commercial for Copper Mountain Club Med resort, but it comes off more like a public service message warning women to stay away from the place. The over-arching theme is a cautionary tale of female guests of the resort being ogled, hit on, and harassed by desperate, irritating losers.

Good riffs, though. Loved the running gag of starting up Lodi.
