Yeah, seriously, unless there’s a new snake-themed show, that code is very random. I haven’t been paying attention to the codes; are there any patterns? Are they set by the venue or by CT, typically?

Blanking on serpentine B-movies; Cave Dwellers and the growling snakes crowds everything out now.

I’m actually in southern illinois, but I do get KETC. Looks like they’re pledge drive is from Sept. 12-20 according to my cable listings. No specifics, just “Pledge Programming” listed. I’ll definitely be interested in catching CT when it airs, so please do keep us updated.

@5 jedicrippler, or someone in the KETC viewing area, please tape the pledge drive bits. I’d love to see them.

The KETC pledge drive stuff has already aired at least twice to my knowledge.

    Tarantulas: Seriously???
I had phone conversation a few days ago with the press relations person there who said the pledge drive won’t even start until the 12th. Is she high?

I’m with you, Alex….when I saw that they were gonna be in Concord, my draw dropped; after all, neither MST3K:TM nor Rifftrax Live ever got/have played anywhere in New Hampshire (at least to my knowledge), so I figured that CT would be in the same boat. But that’s something I’ll definitely be saving my dollars and cents for!

Seriously, what does the CT crew have against Denver?

Or anywhere south of St Louis for that matter.

  13. Brandon says:

If that TV airing gets good ratings, maybe CT can be sold into television.

Oooh, I haven’t watched Channel 9 (KETC) since they stopped showing Dr. Who…

Certainly beats their usual fare for pledge drives – hours and hours of John Tesh, Yanni, and similar musical acts.

    @11

I’ve been saying the same thing about South Jersey. They have given us fans here the finger. And I’ve withdrawn all support until there’s a show that isn’t 90 minutes away.

Are we ever going to get a show in Minnesota??

  17. jere7my says:

Laura, CT has performed or are scheduled to perform in fewer than 30 public venues total. Of those bookings, six were or will be within 150 miles of you — three will be in New Jersey, one was in Philly, one was in NYC, and one will be in DC. In other words, over 20% of all CT shows have been inside a circle that comprises 2% of the total land area of the US, easily driveable and criss-crossed with public transportation options, which you are smack-dab in the middle of. And yet you’re complaining more than fans in Atlanta, or Orlando, or Austin, or anywhere else that’s 500+ miles away from any scheduled CT show, all while claiming that the Titans have crudely insulted you. Honey, do you know what the word “entitlement” means?

Boot Blacking: they did a Minneapolis show in October 2008.

The fact is, this is a big country, and the Titans don’t do that many live shows. You can get lucky, you can travel, or you can hope and wait.

@Steve Cartwright – The next movie they’re working on is called “Watch Out For Snakes”.

    I kid you not.

  20. Luke Forrester says:

Yeah if there was a show within 150 miles of me I wouldn’t complain, except to wonder why it isn’t in Denver, as the closest major metropolitan area to Denver would be Phoenix, AZ.

I live in Denver though, and feel perfectly fine telling the CT to smeg off till they do a show here (Heck, Go to Cheyenne, I’ll drive the 2 hours).

I can’t WAIT for the Milwaukee shows. we saw them at the Turner Ballroom. The Pabst will be fun, but the Ballroom is totally MADE for this type of show!

  29. Gary Bowden says:

I doubt there is a movie called “Watch Out for Snakes”.They could be kidding around with us.Not unless it’s a snake themed movie like “SSSssss” or “Rattlers” or “Stanley” or “A Calamity of Snakes”,but the title doesn’t even appear on IMDB..Who knows.

  30. Eric Fell says:

@Gary Bowden: if they wind up doing “SSSssss” I will die of happiness. But I hope there is a real movie called “Watch out for Snakes.”

  32. MrTorso says:

If you want CT or anyone to come to a particular town you need to convince a promoter to book the show and bring them to town. Generally speaking performers do not decide to hit a particular city or venue.

  33. Ron says:

 I can only guess the L.A. and Anaheim shows were cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Four shows in this massive and massively lame market was three too many where Spanish radio reigns supreme. We don’t even have Beatlefest anymore!

Very excited for the Morristown show…it is my hometown after all. But I kept suggesting them to get Cinematic Titanic to the Community Theater almost every time I have been there in the last 24 months (which was been around 9-10 times).

Hopefully, they can get them to come by again, I would love to check it out multiple times.

  37. Are you people all on DOPE? “WATCH OUT FOR SNAKES” is a running gag in MST3k#0506, “EEGAH!” (oh, that dreamy Arch Hall, Jr.!) At one point, all of the main characters are in the desert and we hear (one of them say?) “Watch out for snakes!” Trouble is, none of the characters’ lips are moving, and the film has no narrator!
