One more, though it probably doesnt qualify, is Mike as Captain Janeway in Laserblast.

Trace as Mr. Spock on many riffs, such as “I’m not going back, Jim.”

Thinking about this topic really emphasizes for me how GREAT the show was the first few years when you had both Joel and Mike on the show. Joel’s creativity and exuberant style of humor coupled with Mike’s frequent and terrfic, well-played “guest” appearances as wacky and goofy visitors to the SOL or Deep 13 were a great combination. As good as the show was right up until the last episode, I never stopped missing the level it was at before show 513.

Don’t know if the goofy country songs count as a guest star, but they WERE funny—-“When you killed me, I DIED…” — love that one.
On a related note, speaking of guest stars — for those of you who saw Cinematic Titanic’s Doomsday Machine: In the part where they were making fun of how the movie just changed acotrs at the end, who was the MSTerious stand in (with the Big Head) who took over for Josh for about half a minute?
    HMMMMM…

Mike as Morrissey is probably my all-time favorite, because I’m just a wee bit obsessed with Moz. It made me laugh sooo much the first time I saw it.

The two other roles played by Mike that I love the most are whenever he’s Torgo (especially the episode – can’t think of the name now – where Torgo comes for a job interview at Deep 13) or Jack Perkins (especially the Turkey Day thing where Perkins gets drunk and hits on Bridget’s brilliant Mr. B)

I adore Mike as a host, but I almost prefer the earlier episodes just so I can see him in these little guest spots more often. That’s where he really shined I think. He’s a genius!

Mike was great in any of the roles he did. By far the best was Torgo. Leslie, I agree, the Torgo interview was my favorite appearance. The best part of that, though was when Dr. F gets frustrated at Torgo’s slow pace and hurries him up to sit down, and the Torgo theme speeds up. That kills me, every time!
Paul was also fun whenever he showed up.
Damn, Bridgett was fine! Mike Nelson, you lucky SOB!

No love for Robert Smith as Howard the Hunk in 803 The Mole People !? OK, not MY personal favorite, but as one of only 2 “real people” to actually guest star on the show*, I think he deserves at least a passing mention.

*Leonard Maltin being the other one of course ( already name-checked above in #13). Smith played for the OSU Buckeyes and for the Minnesota Vikings.

Hey, what about the guy who brought Mike and Tom Soup in “The Wild Wild World of Batwoman.” He was great! I wonder why we never saw him again.

I forgot: what about the episode where the original “observers” (mike and Paul) come back to extract revenge?
there is a nice number and ultimately the 2 observers end up as guys working on a “dairy Co-Op, in wisconson? “you gotta stop bummin smokes!”..what episode?

Tim Scott did a nice turn as Frank’s Miracle Growth Baby with the “Alien” teething nook and all that.

I really like Mike playing ‘Hugh Beaumont’ in two of the shows that starred Hugh Beaumont in the movies: ‘Lost Continent’ and ‘Human Duplicators.’ I particularly laughed when Mike as Hugh explodes in fits of rage over how people are concerned over ‘The Beaver’ and the fact his wife is not givng him any. As Crow put it “Always knew he was gonna blow..”

For Me, I gotta say Bridget as Lisa Loeb in episode 616.

After seeing that, it made me want to go out and buy one of her albums.
