Centron’s shorts were some of the best; even some of their non-MSTed ones could get under your skin. Watch “The Snob” some time and tell me that isn’t as wince-inducingly dramatic as “Cheating” in its own way. They really tried. Plus, y’know, “Carnival of Souls”.

    RIP, Mr. Mosser.

@JCC Cheater! Now I’m going to have to go back and watch the whole cheating thing (not that that’s a bad thing).

In addition to that lip and tongue action, remember to keep it low and pleasing.

I wonder if they did “The ABC of Baby Sitting”? That one is included on the Something Weird release of “The Child”. Man, that is some kind of creepiness! Joel/Mike and the Bots would have had a great time with that one. In fact, Rifftrax should tackle it.

Centron was an enormous part of my childhood, not only for their delightful shorts on MST3K, but also for their work as the videographers of the book segments of Reading Rainbow. I never knew your name, Mr. Mosser, but I’m grateful for everything you made that I came to love.

“ABC of Babysitting” was from Sid Davis, whose films were loopy but of a different sort from Centron, which made some really good ones. The article from the Lawrence paper had a comment from someone who was in one of these films; I wonder if any of those delinquents or cheaters are still around (and now grandparents, probably keeping their grandkids from becoming cheating delinquents).

Rest in peace, Mr. Mosser. Hope you knew people were watching these films to this day.

@15. Thanks for the info. I’m sorry I only netflix’d The Child years ago. Always meant to buy it but now it’s no longer $10 or less. $30 new, I do believe. :( It had a ton of MST3K style stuff on it.

I hope they buried him with a good metal rack, as his mother had always told him to have on hand at all times.

Well I hope they at least buried him, unlike ol’ Chuck Hamlin.
