I guess this short from Bridget and Mary Jo was released a couple of days ago. Get it here. LAS VEGAS — Geechy Guy, veteran Vegas comedy headliner, regular winner on TV’s “Star Search” and quarterfinalist on TV’s “America’s Got Talent,” died Sept. 7 at his home here. He was 59.
Guy was found unresponsive in his bedroom and pronounced dead on the scene. The Las Vegas Review-Journal has the story. MSTies will recall that he was mentioned in a host segment in episode 311- IT CONQUERED THE WORLD. Thanks to Gordon for the heads up. There’s very little MST3k-related at this year’s DragonCon, but if you find yourself in Atlanta next Friday (Sept. 1), our buddy and crackerjack filmmaker Daniel Griffith will host an event at the Hilton Grand East.
It’s titled “Oh Poopie: 25 Years (+2) of Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie,” and it starts at 8:30 p.m. Enjoy. |
