    Um, call me crazy but isn’t this short on the “Reefer Madness” live dvd? Why am I asking… I already know that it is. So how is it released, “at last”?

    @#3 – In the past the shorts they did live were made available fairly quickly as studio versions. People have been asking for the short since last year.

    Just downloaded it and watched it. It might be the least educational educational film RT or MST3K has ever riffed. Ernest Ziegfeld (the educational consultant) should be ashamed and his doctorate revoked.

    Did anyone else with allergies sneeze through this short? :) And thank you for looking up the “is corn grass?” question – now I can sleep – after some Benedryl.

    @8,

    My allergies acted up the first time I saw the short. I already have the “Reefer Madness” DVD, but I’m buying this short anyway. I also bought the Aesop Fables short too.

    I just bought it, pretty crazy stuff. I think the live version is better because of what Kevin did at the end.

    I’m glad I was born in 1971, since (apparently) real toys hadn’t yet been invented in 1970.

    I like the live version best, especially the way Bill roars WHAT AM I?!!! as opposed to how he did it in the sample.

    This is what we had in the seventies. Terrible, terrible ideas for arts and crafts projects that got “back to nature.” This is what teachers were supposed to encourage. And yet it tells you nothing about grass. Just that you can make wretched things with it that can be thrown away. It’s Childcraft’s “Make and Do” volume gone feral.

    Yeah. And yet, looking back, it was pretty fun. I actually feel sorry for the children of today…

    I just downloaded and watched this last night. WOW. It reminded me of this book my mom got for us when we were young called Kids America. It was full of crap-er-craft projects and boring activities. So many wasted hours with that stupid book…
