Heh… I’ve watched way too much MST3K and Rifftrax over the years not to guess the joke before we got there. But keep them sketches coming!

Eh, guess we’ll have to wait another week or so for the new Twilight movie. I miss Bella and Edward!

Uh, excuse me, I’m going to go fling some poo at myself.

Um, there’s nothing wrong with that movie. Probably just an excuse to make Professor Bobo jokes. Sigh

Yes!!!!! I’ve been waiting a long time for them to do that poor excuse of a movie! I told myself when that DVD first came out to not bother with it until the Rifftrax. I finally have a reason to buy that movie!

Sure, everyone remembers Bobo, but what about his colleague, Dr Peanut?

Will this movie dethrone “Every Which Way But Loose” as the best ape movie of all time?

I think they should do Battle For The Planet Of The Apes instead. You know, the one that KILLED THE FRANCHISE FOR 20 SOMETHING YEARS…

I actually really like this movie, so I may pass on this one.

I’ve said it before, sometimes the best movies make for the best RiffTrax.

I thought the best ape move of all time was
    Dunstan Checks In?

Geez, “Rise” was an excellent time at the movies. Loved that smartass monkey in the title role. I think he could send shivers up your spine with his turd tossing skillz.

You speak the truth. One of my favorite riffs is the Dark Knight. I’m pretty sure that was a good movie.

Yes, ck – according to the Law Giver, Dunstan Checks In was the best ape movie.

Hey, Rifftrax guy – I thought you got rid of the startling end note at the end of Rifftrax things? Or are the trailers not included?

I am looking forward to both of the riffs. :)

    :-))

@9, granted “Star Trek” was a good riff. I went into it apprehensive, but they had fun with the flick, not destroy it. Hopefully “Rise” will be of that level.

Maybe one day they’ll do the horrible Tim Burton “Apes.”

Have to agree that guitar is startling and has to go completely. You should see the way my girlfriend jumps for the volume button at the end of an older trax.

Sounds like this Twilight has a little in common with William’s Doll…

You don’t say…to each his own as always. I thought Star Trek was one of the worst movies they have ever riffed. So painful I almost didn’t enjoy the riff.

“Rise” looks like the usual crap to me…

@8 How did it “kill” the franchise? It was clearly intended to be the final movie. Not to mention the Sat AM cartoon and the live action series came along a few years later?

Wow. I was afraid they weren’t going to do “Twilard” again. Now I don’t have to wait to for the Rifftrax. I’ll have to go to Best Buy so I won’t have to get the “Bella’s Wedding Edition” from WalMart.

In my opinion they should use all the poo flinging jokes in the twilight movie instead of “The Rise of the Planet of the Apes”. Still haven’t wathched one of the twilight movies. Although I have been tempted since the guys started riffing them. I just haven’t worked up my courage or worked down my gag reflex. God speed Rifftrax!

I wish them luck, I heard such bad things about the last Twilight movie, its like hearing that a Coleman Francis movie got mainstream.

Amen #9-One of my favorite riffs was for Casino Royale, and that was easily the best Bond movie I’d seen in years. The hardest I’ve laughed, however, were at Spiderman 3 and the first Twilight, though, probably because watching them with the guys was also the first time I ever watched either of those, so it was just like a new MST episode, bad movie included. On the subject of Poo-Flinging jokes, though, I’m with Mike. “I’m gonna go get drunk.” “It’s 10 AM!” “Yep!!”

Apes is a great movie, but you don’t have to only riff bad movies.

I love the Magic Sword, always enjoyed the Harry Potter and Bourne movies, and I still enjoy the riffs.

Having just watched “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1: Ecks vs. Sever” the other night (thanks Netflix!) I can positively say that it is ASTOUNDINGLY terrible. The Twilight Rifftrax have long been my favorites, and I seriously think this movie has the potential to be one of the best Rifftrax ever. As bad as the Twilight movies have all been so far this one really takes it to a new level, and if the Rifftrax crew can tap into that like they usually do we will be in for a huge treat. For anyone who hasn’t seen the movie yet wait until you see the CGI werewolf telepathic debate scene. It’s definitely a new classic moment in horrible cinema. I don’t think I actually heard anything anyone was saying during it, because I was laughing so hard the entire time. Also when the other two douchey guy vampires come to take Edward out for his bachelor party there is one of the most hilariously awkward “guys just goofing around” type scenes in history. It’s very brief, but it was so damn funny that I had to rewind and watch it again like four times. I seriously can’t wait to see Mike, Kevin, and Bill tear into this movie.

#23 The Twilight phenomenon must be one of mankind’s longest akward moments. Even making fun of it gets a little bit tiresome. Unless you ar comedy veteran like the Mike, Kevin and Bill.

  25. I have seen every “apes” film except “Rise”; and I have only seen the first Twilight film. I will have to check these out.

I have not seen Rise, but I heard that it has long, long stretches without dialog. Does this mean they are prepping for an epic Riff of 2001?

I can close my eyes and hear those riffs coming out of Crow and Tom….

If there were ever a franchise built for riffing, Twilight is it.

Nice Whitney Houston tribute, Kevin. I just bought all of the Twilight riffs so I could catch up and cannot wait to see their treatment of the latest one. I did not have the pleasure of seeing it since I figured the book was enough.
