New Short from RiffTrax…

It’s like they had a camera at my house when I was a kid…

Downlaod it and see a sample here.

Kevin and Bill created their own version here.

I enjoyed Bill and Kevin’s version – WOW!! Such range! I do think that the newspaper in the short carried it’s part much better. The one Kevin was holding was really just phoning it in.

    :-))

This is gonna be good…I’m watching it with Twilight when it comes out next week.

p.s. Bill did something really amazing here. Do you know how hard it is to do a bit of business like knitting…and yet convey emotions of such complexity, range, and dynamism.
Don’t try it at home, people, don’t try it at home.

  4. @1 – The real skill was not breaking during that length of time. During 2 out of the 3 takes we did I was very happy that the camera was locked off because I had to leave the room and giggle; Im surprised that my loud snort didn’t ruin everything.

@ Casey – they really did do an amazing job. I didn’t even hear the snort because I was waiting for them to break. And the riffing was wonderful! :)

one of the best shorts in a while – this is desert island short. love the shorts that are really inherently awkward. some killer, classic riffs in this one…”happy birthday to you….!”

I was reminded of The Mads and J&TB watching Graves stirring speech at the end of It Conquered the World. I could NOT take a bite of my TV dinner throughout that1 Bravo!!

Maybe I’m wrong but did I read Rifftrax was going to release “The Crater Lake Monster” on DVD in the coming months? Can’t remember if I actually read it or if I was making things up in my head again.

I was going to ask about the upcoming DVDs as well. I could have sworn I read that they were going to come out in February, but since the month is almost over, and now it’s the “near future,” I’m a sad boy.

Look on the bright side. It’s “The Near Future” and not “Never Ever Ever Ever Going to Happen”:)
