Favorite Costume Worn by a Human

We did favorite costumes worn by a bot — in fact, I just realized today that we did it twice. Oy.

But alert reader David has a topic we haven’t done, vis:

How about personal costume favorites worn by Joel, Mike, Frank, Clayton, Pearl, Bobo and Brain Guy? My favs for Frank and Clay were playing Rollie Fingers and Ted McGraw.

I think I’d have to pick the Clayton and Frank “gussied up to beat the band” in episode 406- ATTACK OF THE GIANT LEECHES.

What’s your pick?

I liked Frank in his workout shorts and headband, putting the Squaremaster through its paces. “Thank you, Squaremaster!”

For some reason I’m drawn to the memory of Pearl Forrester in her camping gear: fishing hat, windbreaker etc. which, IIRC, stretched over several episodes. That’s when they went fishing and found the “perfectly normal, overgrown pod-like vegetation.” She was so cute, esp. when under control of her pod-grown body double, trying to smile and sound nonthreatening. “Theyre zucchini — They’re THROW PILLOWS.”

How about Mike as Kenny G. in the episode “Bloodlust”? He had the whole look: the curly black wig, the nose and the instrument.

Well, that’s a no-brainer for me: Mike’s silver outfit from the Spanish children’s show in “Parts: The Clonus Horror.” You know. With the hot pants. AGUA!

itsspideyman #22: A real twist was Merlin’s Shop of Magical Wonders when Bobo put on a Monkey costume!

I’m pretty sure Bobo in a monkey costume was from the final host segment in The Screaming Skull.

This may not fit the topic, but what when Pearl and Brain Guy suggest a toga party to the Romans, then realizing their mistake offer them pants!!!
Cheesy striped 70s pants! Then everyone is walking around in togas, and pants.

    Another vote for Mike-as-Janeway. Perfection.

And another for Joel’s masking tape apparel – it’s the white socks that really sell it!

Just watched this one today – Mike as Hugo ( or Mikeo ) the ugly, smelly horrible little dummy. Who will never have Ham,or any other luncheon meat like bologna. That will make the sawdust in your stomach explode.

My first thought was of Mike as Captain Janeway. I saw a screenshot years before the ep came to DVD, and I had sooo looked forward to it. His performance did not disappoint.

I’m going to go with Mike as Robin in “Zombie Nightmare,” he nailed the look. Mike as Bruce in “Daddy-O.” Mike and Jim in the “Jungle Goddess” segment as the stereotypical ignorant whites stumbling upon a tribe.

Joel as the “Master” is really good. As far as costumes go, there was his go as the lead singer of Spidorr…..

While not technically a costume, Frank in the “Virgin” T-Shirt from Pod People. Gives me a belly laugh every time I see it.

Mike as the Spanish kids show guy. (Crow saying AGUA!!! gets me everytime).

Mike as the Bar-B-Que Sauce guy (BOLD!!! WELL HELL YES IT’S BOLD!!!!)

    Bridget as Mr. B Natural

Every time I heard the strains of “Torgo’s Theme” I started laughing and then Mike would appear in costume to seal the deal. Also Bill’s Phantom of Krankor (especially during the dreadful “Invasion of the Neptune Men”) I found hilarious. And in kind of a leering way Bridget as the witch from “The Undead” Honorable mention to Crow’s “Screaming Skull.”

How about Joel as the Jungle Goddess in the sit-com sketch.
Then he follows it up with the dressing jacket during the “intros” and gives birth to Crow’s nickname Art.

It’s not so much the glasses but the face Mike makes, while looking up ‘rime’ in Teenage Strangler. Second on Crow as The Screaming Skull, but definitely the Evils in Last of the Wild Horses!
