The Rolling Stones still sort of exist. How about the ’60s

out of those entitled fresh scrubbed young white folks. Of course, the

I would like to see the Eagles cover California Lady.
I want to hear Sufjan Stevens cover “Laugh, Children Laugh” mostly because I’m kind of surprised he hasn’t already.
Why do I dream of Rammstein covering “Rock n’ Roll Martian”?
I would have loved to hear the Ramones do “Zombie Stomp”–or did they? “Hey ho, let’s go!”
I’d like to see Buddy Holly cover any of Don Sullivan’s songs from Giant Gla Monster.
Meat Loaf-“Let Me Be Frank About Frank”. Also, since they’re still alive, let’s have Streisand and Neil Diamond sing “When Loving Lovers Love”.
If no one objects to my bringing up acappella groups (or even if they do), I would suggest The King’s Singers perform Aire on a Delta Knight, as well as the Bobs flesh out Let’s Have a Patrick Swayze Christmas.

I might be a jazz fan at heart (which is to say, I listen almost exclusively to jazz), but I also have to admit that I’m OLD–I haven’t actually heard some of the singers and groups some of you have mentioned!

Well, Hayseed Dixie already did a great cover of “Ace of Spades” from ZOMBIE NIGHTMARE. Strikes me that “A Danger to Myself and Others” would be right up their alley, too.
And the Reverend Horton Heat would be awsome for “Sidehackin’.” Or that “Losing My Dignity” tune in HELLCATS.
As for the HELLCATS theme, itself? Shonen Knife!

I’d say Shirley Bassey would be a better choice for “OK Connery”.
To show how old I am, Dennis Day would’ve been the obvious choice to cover “Sweet Mother of Mine”.
And I’m still wondering when they’ll approve an official release of Dave Alvin’s cover of the MST3K theme.

I’ll take a cue from Sampo here, because in my head I’ve got Elvis Costello crooning a heartbreaking rendition of “I Like What I Know about You” from Wild Rebels.
I’d also like to hear the Hives tear through the Bird’s “It’s Not What I Need You For” from The Deadly Bees.
And I’m pretty sure that I’ve already heard Deke Dickerson do a cover of Jimmy Bryant’s “Ha-So” from Skydivers.

I don’t know if this counts, but I would like to have heard Paul Desmond do the music that sort of sounds like Paul Desmond in Secret Agent Super Dragon.
Seems to me the Biebs needs to do updated versions of Arch Hall’s songs from Eegah.
I think it should be The Monkees (with hologram-Davy Jones) covering “There’s A New World” from Catalina Caper. And I love #1’s idea of Carly Rae Jepsen for “Book Of Love”, but I wonder how Grace Potter & The Nocturnals would do with it.

Danger! Death Ray! features a soundtrack (or at least they’ve needle-dropped music) that approximates real jazz. I would like to have heard a REAL jazz soundtrack (with Gil Evans, Herbie Hancock, and others). Of course, at that point they would have wanted to hire a different director, and bring in new writers, and get rid of the actual NOT-TOY helicopters and submarines, and then move the Castle so they could make a REAL movie, so forget I mentioned this.
