He may very well belt buckle to the side. But that is likely hidden by the accordian he plays.

Is he alive? How old he was when he starred in Daddy-O? I thought he was forty back then.

#5 He’s playing the accordian. Well I sure hope he doesn’t hike his pants up to high or he’ll be taking something else for a ride instead of his butt cheeks. If you know what I mean? Wink, wink, you know, his first name for a ride. His Richard? Yeah that’s it, his Richard.

I’m sure good ol’ Dick can play “Rock Candy Baby” on the accordion…there’s gotta be an MSTie going to this show! Instead of screaming “Freebird!”, someone’s gotta shout “Wait ‘Til I Take You Home” repeatedly! (Makes me wonder how Mr. Contino feels about our fave show, or if he’s even aware of his fame).

Dick was born in 1930. He is still going strong at 82. He is still the greatest accordion player.

All kidding aside, I just saw some of Mr.Continos stuff on YouTube and was very impressed at his passion and skill at playing the accordion. I’m sure anyone seeing him this weekend at Milwaukee’s Festa Italiana will enjoy them selves. He looks to be in great shape, and still enjoys performing for people. I hope we hear from anyone that goes to the show to see if he has ever seen the MST3K stuff. And I mean this when I say that it would be cool to see/hear him do “Rock Candy Baby” on the accordion. Carry on Mr.Contino, you’re still a real cool dude.
