A fairly mild entry which is essentially a glorified commercial for Crisco products. It was okay with a few chuckles, although I don’t know what the Rifftrax boys could have really done with this one. And yes, that is Bonnie “One Day at a Time” Franklin as the girl under all of that red hair.
I THOUGHT she looked familiar. I could “just” place her, but not quite totally.
When the heck was this short made?
When the blond said “groovy” I thought it was the early 1970s, as “groovy” was not a word educational films felt easy with in the summers of “Love.”
Of course we ALL know the outcome of the “contest.” It is the SAME outcome Fred and Barney had when THEY had a challenge with THEIR wives, Keith and Danny Partridge had with THEIR sisters, and Mr. Mom is totally built on.
For the date, I’m finding mostly “circa 1960s”, except for one site that narrows it to 1965 (Bonnie Franklin would have been 21 that year, so that seems about right).
Great fun to see a young Bonnie in both a bra and a beehive hairdo before she began every sentence with the word dammit.
One of the characters says “TGIF” which I think originated in the early ’70s.
MAX is right, but I would say “began every sentence with the phrase ‘dammit Snyder'”.
Dammit Wally, I had completely erased Snyder from my memory.
Alternate joke: “Dammit Snyder” was my two-word review of Man Of Steel.
And at the end, she doesn’t say “Ohhhh Myyy God…”.
Didn’t Bonnie Franklin pass away a few months ago?
