Yeah, the first one was pretty good, so I hope they keep at this for at least a while.

I don’t envy whoever it is that writes the humorous descriptions for these shorts. It’s going to get tedious long before they get to chapter 15. (Not to mention writing the Riffs themselves.) At least Mike & company get to set their own pace. I’m still amazed they kept up with Commando Cody week after week for as long as they did.

The “Tunnel of Terror” lives up to it’s name…if you take into account lots of on-location shooting with virtually no one around, making it look like an old “Avengers” episode…’cept without the wit, spark or entertainment value.

Mike, Kevin and Bill get in some pretty good riffs as this is some goofy stuff. Can they keep it up for 15 episodes? Well, I imagine not unless it sells really well…then we’ll get to hear “Gabe” references ALL the time. At least they didn’t have to pay much for this… 8-)

  4. Yeah, unless there’s a danger of them running out of instructional shorts to riff, they should probably look at all the remaining Batman episodes and find the two or three with the most riff potential. The serial is just too grey and generic for sustained popularity, I’m guessing. I like them so far, though.

I imagine the novelty of it being Batman was a big factor, but other than the ill-fitting costume and young(ish) sidekick, this could be any pulpy detective character. Maybe Mike and Conor challenged each other to some kind of 15 chapter endurance marathon. Anyway, the winner is us.

I think the Boys are up to the CHALLANGE of a 15 part serial- They have experience more than anyone to complete it. ;)

After over 3 hours of this serial they’ll be BEGGING for the next Transformers movie to cleanse the palette. And kill a few million brain cells, too, if the first three are any indication.

It’s so nice of them to sacrifice their sanity for our amusement. :)

This isn’t the only one of these serials, I saw another with the same Batman and Robin. It was basically a anti-Japanese proaganda serial, with white boy J. Carrol Naish as a Japanese bad guy who lived in a racist wax museum. I haven’t seen this one, but I’m guessing there has to be some good payoff.
