No post that Rifftrax just released freaking Super Marios Bros today!!?! :-D
http://www.rifftrax.com/video/super-mario-bros
Am I reading it incorrectly, or does he confirm that he’ll be hosting another Thanksgiving on-line marathon this (2014) Thanksgiving?
Where JohnnyRyde, Where?
One question starts: “This Thanksgiving you’ll be hosting a stream of MST3K episodes online…”
But now that I read it closer, Joel’s answer is in the past tense (even though the question is asking about the future)… So, maybe not…
This seems to have been written before the 25th Anniversary Turkey Day marathon, even though the article is dated today. Strange. I certainly hope they do another marathon this year, though!
The rest of that website contains some articles about musicians obviously written by some bitter failed musicians. Try to avoid that spewing of hate and disappointment. The Joel article was good, though.
Hey everybody, I’m Chaz, the writer of the Joel Interview. If you’re wondering about the Turkey Day mention, it’s because this interview originally ran in the LA Weekly’s sister publication Village Voice last November, right before the Turkey Day marathon and the show’s actual 25th anniversary.
It’s running again in the LA Weekly today to coincide with the new DVD release. Sorry about the confusion there.
Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks for posting the link…great article!
I knew I’d seen that article before! I distinctly remembered the references to Crackerbox Palace (one of my favorite songs of all time) and Steely Dan (my favorite group of all time). Love it!
