Man, Outlaw has extras coming out of its ears. I guess they sent the slave girl to pleasure people at Shout’s offices.

I wonder which ones are Ballyhoo features, Daniel?

Now, see, you really undermine your authority when you put “Bud” in the middle of your name.

Please include a black plastic scorpion squeak toy to brandish at my friends who don’t believe in buying DVDs. Thanks.

Sounds great, as always with Shout! Factory. Now if only I could afford to catch up on buying all these awesome sets…

I wonder if that extra about the Gor novels will touch on how amazingly creepy and sexist they are. If you’ve never encountered them and only know about Gor from the movies… let’s just say that they toned a LOT down. There’s a lot of sex, slavery and sexual slavery going on.

How much would it cost to get Trace to do a reading of the classic “Houseplants of Gor” parody? (It’s located here–http://www.rdrop.com/~wyvern/data/houseplants.html–for your perusal. It’s pretty amazing.)

A documentary on “The projected Man”. I wonder if they located Tracy Crisp (Sheila). I wonder what she looks like now.

I can’t wait. Part of the reason I love SHOUT! factory owning the rights to Mst3k is the fact that they load up the dvds with extras. As always, kudos to the best documentary film-maker in all filmdom, Daniel Griffith. Daniel, if you’re listening, thanks again for “The Movie that Couldn’t Die”, and all the others. Seeing the backstory on these films is almost as enjoyable as seeing the films themselves.

Something just occured to me. This episode will have Josh’s last episode. I wonder why he won’t be interviewed or something. This is the last chance essentially for any MST dvd.

Thanks for this article. I might also like to say that it can end up being hard if you find yourself in school and merely starting out to create a long credit rating. There are many learners who are only trying to endure and have long or good credit history are often a difficult issue to have. deeddgddggak

Glad to see Outlaw with so many extras. It’s one of my favorites ever.

Isn’t it the one that they submitted for the Peabody(and won)?

JOSE CHUNG: What do you mean exactly?

    @12

I understand the point you are making, but, if I were to guess, it was because there was no real need for another interview with J. Elvis Weinstein; his “Life After MST3K” interview in Volume XXV capsulized his experience(s) very well.

An additional interview would almost certainly contain redundant information. I would rather have completely new bonus material in XXX.

    Having said that…

Having Weinstein do an introduction for the The Black Scorpion would be a kick-ass-I’ve-come-full-circle moment. Absolutely.

  16. ck says:

Or you could have Weinstein do a comparison of his and Frank’s take
on being a mad scientist’s assistant, with it ending by him walking
off and the camera panning to Dr. F. entoning:
“Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building.”

I hope they actually get Norman on-camera. From what I’ve read of him, he sounds Nicolas Cage weird.

I wonder how many adult video stores are going to stock this set by mistake?

  20. Greetings, everyone! Thanks for the support! To answer your question, Ballyhoo (yours truly) is producing all the extra’s on this set. Usually, I only pick one or two titles per set to document, but this time (as with the last set) I am trying to spread things around a bit more. Expect more Ballyhoo documentaries on the annual holiday set, as well. As with the extra’s on GOR, I could not get John Norman since he is a very private person. However, I was able to interview his agent of 30 years and his publisher. Lots of great info on the history of the novel series and the controversy surrounding it.

That’s great, I can’t wait to see them. I was going to put off buying through shout but I may bite the bullet and get it through them.

Without going into detail were you able to interview any of the cast and crew of Black Scorpion or Projected man?

    in the vain of #19.
Does anyone else thinking the reason there is no listing for this set on Best Buy or Barnes and Noble is due to the XXX in the title?

My set arrived yesterday: June 19!

Shout needs to get it’s act together and stop being so good to the MST3K fan base. Why do they give us what we want? What could they want from us in return? When will they collect their debts?
