Pretty decent, if forgettable stuff. The short itself is actually quite short even though it should have been over with about halfway through. For the record, I recognized the kid from “What’s Happening” immediately which made me feel really old. :pain:
This short would have been perfect for MST3K if it had continued and not been canceled…By the way, this short was probably for those kids who did not know their right from left.
Little known facts –
Willy was originally set to star in “Hold Hands, Run Around Like an Idiot” or whatever it’s called, but was eliminated from the Director’s Cut due to “attitude problems” (see below). Only stills survive of the original version.
That “lisp” is probably related to the fact that in “Hollywood Babylon” author Kenneth Anger describes Willy as “arguably the biggest lush in all the annals of Tinseltown”.
Willy and Coily are cousins-german.
