Actor Johnny Crawford, known for playing Chuck Connors’ son in ABC series “The Rifleman” from 1958-63, died at a care facility on April 29. He was 75.
MSTies will remember him as Horsey in the movie in episode 523- VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS and as Ken Brewster in the movie in episode 906- THE SPACE CHILDREN.
Thanks to Gordon for the heads up.

Alzheimer’s. The thief that steals you right out of your body. I remember an episode of THE RIFLEMAN where Mark develops a terrible fever and Lucas travels all the way up into the New Mexico mountains for a cure. Snow. They packed it around Mark to bring his temperature down. If only real life could work like that. RIP
I loved that show when I was a kid.
“1st Base is larger than I remember!” One of favorite episodes, RIP.
Such a terrible way to go. Very sad. :(
Oh, man, he was only 75, too! That’s so very much too young – too young to die, too young to have Alzheimer’s. He was such a cute kid, and in The Rifleman he came across as as a decent, resourceful, not-obnoxious one as well.
Awful news. :( that’s one of my fav episodes. sure need an official dvd of that.
