RIP Lorena Velázquez

— Mexican actress Lorena Velázquez died April 11. She was 86.

With a career that spanned more than 300 productions, Velázquez was a stellar figure in the Golden Age of Mexican cinema and continued her legacy on television. She was crowned Miss Mexico in 1960, although she declined to represent the country in Miss Universe and preferred to focus on her acting career.

MSTies will remember her role as Zorina in the movie in episode 624- SAMSON VS. THE VAMPIRE WOMEN.

There’s a nice retrospective here.

Thanks to Gordon for the heads up.

Senora Velasquez made an excellent vampire queen. Far superior to the Kardashian actual vampires around today. RIP
