Murphy: “It’s not widely known, but when anyone under the age of 25 tries to watch a black and white movie, they see nothing. Just a blank screen. Like dogs who can’t see color. So we decided to go with Legend Films’ colorized version.”

It’s a sad fact of life that a lot of people, especially those younger than me, aren’t interested in watching black and white movies. At least Kevin puts a funny spin on it here.

Wow, that Onion AV Club link is the best interview I’ve yet seen with these guys. Some good technical info on writing and performing. The viewer comments are a good read also. A lot of Misties like the Onion (no real surprise, I guess). See you all on Thursday!

And I agree, Rifftrax should do the Godfather Trilogy: lovingly roast the first two then rip the third a new Al-hole (ugh, sorry…)

Is the simulcast is going to include the extra material like Jonathan Coulton?

I believe the fellow from Filmmonthly.com spells his name Jef Burnham, not Jeff. Assuming it’s the same chap…

I wonder if 400 theaters is the widest release that Plan 9 has ever had?

  14. FordPrefect says:

    Cliff Weismeyer,

Considering that there were only about 20 prints for the original Plan 9 release, I’m guessing this might very well be it’s widest release. What a great way to celebrate it’s 50th anniversary this year.

#16, you missed a whole short about stewardesses! I really though it was great, and I believe you missed a “lowtax” short too.
