RIP John Edd Thompson Mobile, Ala. — Longtime local TV meteorologist John Edd Thomson died May 5. He was the face of the FOX10 weather team for three decades, before retiring in 2009.

I was living nearby in Pensacola and remember him from the weather on the CBS affiliate before he moved to NBC (which became Fox later), as I was 7 when he started there in 1971. Had no idea he did films, let alone a riffable one.
