RIP John Edd Thompson

Mobile, Ala. — Longtime local TV meteorologist John Edd Thomson died May 5. He was the face of the FOX10 weather team for three decades, before retiring in 2009.

Among other interests, Thompson appeared in a few films, including the movie in episode 1001- SOULTAKER.

  1. I was living nearby in Pensacola and remember him from the weather on the CBS affiliate before he moved to NBC (which became Fox later), as I was 7 when he started there in 1971. Had no idea he did films, let alone a riffable one.
