    A comment on their site indicates they cut 10 minutes of Unknown Island. Is that standard for RT now? A shame, because I’ve seen this one twice, and it should be perfect for them: well-paced action, but as (probably) the first movie to use mostly rubber suits for the dinos, it suffers from making them look depressed and shiftless. Those flimsy shoulders that Toho’s iconic kaiju would stand on in the following decade make this film historically significant, especially for MST and its successors, so editing this one unnecessarily feels wrong…but I’ll probably end up getting it anyway.

    I believe cuts are made so that the movies become, technically, PD and, thus, cheaper to acquire. I may be incorrect on that, though.
