I have yet to see this film (I’ll add it to my cue today). From what I’ve heard they changed some things that shouldn’t have been changed. The Vincent Price version was pretty awesome in my book…very bleak, as it should be.

Anyway, looking forward to checking out the preview of the rifftrax. Mike’s expression on the image is a hoot! :D

Mike’s expression is a pretty accurate reflection of my and all my friends’ reactions to this movie.

Erhardt adds: Avast, mateys. There be SPOILERS here…

The first half of this movie did a GREAT job of putting Will Smith in a vintagely scary Twilight Zone’esque environment (the main story was written by one of the show’s main writers after all) They totally ruined the superb feel of isolation though when they introduced the mother and her son with over the top religious symbolism, the whole “mother’s blood saves the world”/last minute mystical revelation of “Oh, you were right! God does care! You’re the one” was just uncomfortably cheesy and had the reek of being ripped off of the ending cues in Signs. They could have had Neville both sacrifice himself and somehow transmit the cure and met us halfway with an ending that was both dark yet positive.

I’ve seen it (first 6 minutes of Dark Knight in imax, natch) but uh, way to go Captain Cab – spoiler warning…something….maybe?

Is that one of their own ads? “Mystery Science Theater 3000 Meets…”?! Saying “From the writer/performers of Mystery Science Theater 3000” is a statement of fact. Saying “Mystery Science Theater 3000 Meets…” is a trademark violation.

Yeah, that spoiler. Ouch! Wish that could be edited. I saw too much. Actually, I won’t waste a free rental on that since there is so much more on the list. So it was helpful to me personally..

I was hoping for a “Boy & his Dog” feel to this. Isolation is definitely where this idea should go too. The Price version really got that right. There’s a scene in that involving the dog that is heartbreaking. I’ll bet they don’t even have that scene in this version.

Captain..way to go with the spoilers :???:

Diamond Joe. I also noticed that ad line for the first time with “I Am Legend”…just looked back through the archives here, and it seems they’ve used that same ad line for quite a few “features”, but not on the shorts? Not sure how they can do that??

Oof, sorry guys! *Turns to Pearl’s employee handbook, and finds page instructing reader to clench hand and run face first into fist.* :(

Well, I demand the cells in my brain containing the spoiler be surgically removed on the captain’s gold doubloons!

This movie was incredibly unpredictably boring. Great rifftrax, though

Oops, I must’ve failed remedial verbs somewhere along the line. I meant the movie was boringly predictable. Silly me.
