Satellite News on Blonde Champagne Radio

Bill Corbett, Sampo and I were guests on Blonde Champagne Radio on Tuesday, May 20. The live call-in show was hosted by Mary Beth Ellis, author and msnbc.com contributor, who has written several MST3K-related articles over the past few years.

And before anyone writes to correct me on a comment I made during the show, I know a clip of “Schindler’s List” was never riffed by the MST3K crew. It was “Saving Private Ryan” I was thinking of.

On the plus side, any stupid thing I might have said will be completely overwhelmed by Erhardt’s gaffe!

Seriously, thanks to Mary Beth for having us on, and to Bill, who, it turns out, is NOT a monster.

    At least about that.

I listened and enjoyed it. Always great to hear Bill, and the two of you were very good also.

‘It was “Saving Private Ryan” I was thinking of.”

    That’s bad enough!

    Nice talking with you, gents.

  4. Last night was a dream come true (as I’m sure all three of you have heard from a woman many, many times before.) I am so grateful for your kind participation, and appreciate all the MSTies who tuned in. Sorry we didn’t get to everybody on the lines, but we sure covered a lot of ground in one hour; for instance, I can rest easy knowing that Mr. Corbett never really did trust that George Lucas. Party at my house.

Can the radio show be downloaded? I was only able to listen to the first 15 minutes, before my computer went crazy.

BTW, the “I Love Denny Siegel” peraon was me. I actually was able to get on (via phone). I asked the question about peter Graves, however, the “Talk and Click” option was left on, and they were trying to reach me. LOL.

Still it was all worth it just to hear Bill Corbett utter, “Who doesn’t love Denny Siegel?”

Well when I went to that link, my DownloadHelper program in Firefox picked it for downloading. So if anyone must have it for DL, you could get it that way. For those who never use anything like that, it’s basically an add-on for downloading media files from sites such as YouTube.

 Hehe. OR you could click the “Open in your default player” button above the little player that’s playing on that site and save it…

Cool interview though I wish the audio mix had been tweaked because Mary Beth’s volume is way too low.
