Weekend Discussion Thread: Most Memorable Pesky KidRegular poster “Fart Bargo” suggested this one, but didn’t elaborate. Since we did “Gamera” in the episode guide this week (featuring uber-pesky Kenny), it seemed an appropriate topic.
I’m going to spotlight “Child” (played by Todd Bass, in his very last acting role, according to the IMDB) in the movie in episode 512- MITCHELL. The scene in which he drives an already-irritated Mitchell to near insanity — and causes Joel to bury his head in his hands as he watches — is one of the most memorable of the series. Sorry if I missed it, but one I have not seen mentioned is the “high schooler” (who looks to be in his late 30’s or early 30’s) turned dull-witted thug in “I Accuse My Parents.” J&TB went into great detail on Jimmy Wilson’s pathological lying and his unbelievable stupidity. Jimmy was not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
“Pod People’s” Tommy is pretty hard to beat though. “Do you know how to play, Trumpy? I’ll teach you. We’ll have such fun.” [ill-timed clap of the hands] {shudder}
Finally, an honorable mention to all of the dim-witted young people in “The Creeping Terror” who who never thought of running away from a monster that moved at roughly the pace of a three-toed sloth.
My bad — Jimmy Wilson and Creeping Terror “teens” are more mind-numbingly stupid than pesky. For pesky, Pod People’s Tommy is the grand champion.
My vote goes to Gumby.Enslaving robots to do his chores for him while he sits inside eating his crackers and milk.Of course you know what happens when you use a Phillips analog chip, robots will revolt. They took the house off of it’s foundation. That would have squared my Breasts as well.
Nope, nope, I think this category requires further refinement. For example, most pesky child, like real child? What age group? If its 16-20, I think Kathy Ireland takes it hands down for “Aliens in L.A.” Kenny and Roku-san are prominent in their respective movies, but Kathy had an entire movie based around her. “Dull surprise!” And there’s no telling me she isn’t still a kid in that movie even at age 25. “Point of order, gentles” as Tom Servo might say.
