Why always St. Louis and never Kansas City? :( It’s the same thing with bands too. I’m gonna miss CT AND the Melvins again. I need to move. Promoters in this town must be cheap scumbags.

I would travel to Kansas City from Denver to see them even with gas the way it is , Cause the never even think of or mention Denver. St.Louis is closer to you than me. Reconsider!

Okay, I’m saying this not as a Mistie (although I am) but as a fan of rock and roll: DO NOT MISS THE MELVINS!!!! Right now, they are INCREDIBLE live. Two drummers… T H E B E S T S H O W I ” V E E V E R S E E N !!!! Get off your butt, turn the TV off, and go see THE MELVINS!!!!!!!! Then come back home and watch more MST3K! I’m gonna watch Bloodwaters of Dr. Z now! (I’m in Oregon and saw the Melvins twice a couple weeks ago…)

Yeah trust me, I don’t wanna miss them. I’ve seen them live before but not since this new lineup. :( But I have hope because they tour a TON. Hopefully they’ll do a Vegas show this year or next cause I could definitely work that one out easier. By the way I LOVE the new record. The last one became a classic to me over time but this new one was instantly a Melvins classic on first listen for some reason, and before it had even ended. Maybe cause it’s weirder? Starts out with a sort of Zepplin-esque beat then becomes a Kiss record then sort of a long Motorhead meets Sabbath tune…followed by a cover of the Wendy Carlos score from the Shining…In the first 4 tracks and in typical Melvins genius of course.

Anyways, not to go off on a musical tangent about the band EVERYone SHOULD like…but as far as CT, if it was more than just a live show I’d make the trip even though I work on Fridays. If they were doing a signing it would be perfect cause I would love to get Mary Jo to sign the Diabolik prop cannister from the show. As well as Patrick Pantsleg.

Just got Wasp Woman yesterday and so I think it’s about time I watch it.

Amtrak has a pretty cheap rate for the link between K.C. and St. Louis. Better than the bus these days!

It’s only a 3.5 hour drive from KC. You could probably get there and back on a tank to tank-and-a-half of gas (as long as you don’t drive an SUV).

Whoops. I gave you directions home instead of directions there. Just drive it in reverse. You’ll be fine.

Reverse? That’s definitely going to burn out the transmission. Bobo, I suggest you ignore Tomok97, turn your vehicle towards the direction you want to go, and drive it in a forward gear!

Hey, Bobo. Thanks! I knew I recognized that tune, but it’s been so long since I’d watched the Shining I couldn’t place it. Now I can sleep at night!

Yeah, don’t miss the Melvins.. and make sure you check out their tour posters if you’re into that sort of thing. They’ve got some pretty awesome ones out there.

Yeah, I got a poster for their show in Portland. Its got a print of this guy strangling a chicken, and the chicken is saying MELVINS in fluffy white type…oh, wait. I’m a little slow on the uptake, I guess. Is this thread supposed to be about CT? Having a great time chatting about the Melvins tho.

Oh man, I wish I had that one.. I’ve seen images of it and it looks fantastic. I can only imagine the reactions of people upon seeing it for the first time.

I really dig the ones Frank Kozik does. He could have done that chicken one by the description but who knows. He’s the Man’s Ruin guy who did the Houdini and Electroretard covers.

But yeah. Ahem. CT and MST RULES.

Wasp Woman was good stuff. I dunno what the deal is with people and the movie break segments but I’ve liked just about all of them. I LIKED the very first one in Oozing and the Buddy Rich stuff on Wasp was funny too. I think people are high in this case but then again it’s the same with the show…I think Starfighters is a strong ep but some think it’s a weak one.

I’m going to be in the sixth row of the center floor section! Woo Hoo! Really looking forward to this! I’m coming over from Terre Haute, Indiana to see this, and it’s well worth the gas!

Have fun in St. Louis to everyone who is going, I know you’ll enjoy the show. We traveled more than 1,100 miles from the east coast for the show in Minneapolis and it was absolutely worth it.

I have five seats (me, my dad, my brother, and two buddies) booked. Almost front row, I think I’m in the second row. I’m coming from lake ozark to see it, so not THAT bad of a drive for me. Hopefully Will Call will come through and present me with the tickets I… misplaced…

So, yeah, this is gonna be awesome. Although, what does Erdhart look like, so I could be sure to keep my eye open for the lad there?

Also, do they do signings or anything after the show? Any idea what movie we’ll be watching/enduring?

@24, crow junkie guy, I sat in front of you, and two seats to the right. I was the fifteen year old one in the MST3K planet shirt and an annoying laugh.

I’d just like to say, that was an awesome night yesterday. I get to check off “Shaking Joel’s hand” from my things to do before I die list. And, I got two DVD’s autographed.

Also, they did Santa Cluase Conquers the martains, and it was NOTHING like the one they did on MST3K. Which is, I suppose, good.
