Gary, the VOD files are still rendering…DVD plans haven’t been thought of at all, but I wouldn’t be surprised. It’ll be a ways down the pipe, and please don’t take this as any kind of confirmation, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

This is so awesome. I just watched the Devil’s Hand last year and, as so often, I thought how great would this be if riffed by CT or RT. Just perfect. We’re all in for a treat. Especially nice to see them riffing an older film.

I seem to recall Crater Lake Monster but only vaguely. Looking forward to that one too.

Will these have to be downloaded in three parts like the Santa/Bunny? I never did quite manage to pull that off (zip files?) and ended up just ordering the DVD.

There will be a split file option, for people on a slower/unreliable connection, and a plain ol’ 4 GB ISO for the download to burn option. Of course, the normal VOD formats will be an option as well (Mp4, WMV, Mpeg-2, DivX.)

What are they doing?! Outside, in the breeze, so close to those PLANTS?! (We just watched The Happening Riff here at the Sharktank.)

These two sounds movies sounds dee-lightful. And uh, not that there’s anything wrong with needing reading glasses, but maybe Kevin might want to rethink the great-grandma-chain-around-the-neck look. :-D

The Devil’s Hand isn’t exactly a classic, but it does sometimes make an appearance on TCM, I think. I’ve got it on one of those giant collections of PD movies. Unfortunately, it’s hurt by one of the roles being played by a Batman (the 60s TV shows) regular, so it’s impossible to take seriously, even just a little.

Question about The Devil’s Hand: Is that one of those bloody-as-crap movies? I’m not into that stuff so if someone could answer this really stupid question I will be grateful.

@10 Laura..No,it’s not a bloody as crap movie. It’s in black and white and stars Robert Alda.It also stars the actor that played Commissioner Gordon from the Batman tv series and Bruno VeSota.Something about voodoo. No need to worry.

Thanks Gary. I just never heard of it and Internet research didn’t reveal much to my satisfaction. I’ll definitely be downloading that one too then.

The Devil’s Hand is early 60’s but feels somehow older. It’s sort of an exotica type film, one you would want to project on the wall at a Tiki bar.

@Casey. Thanks. I just wish a non-computer person lime myself knew what all those options meant! :dazed:

    Excellent! :-))

I went to school with the Crater Lake Monster…he’s was a cool dude(and very tall!)…….nice to see he stayed off the weed long enough to make a movie.

Great, I’ll get the mpeg2 as usual and burn my own. These are just the kind of movies I like to see riffed.
I hope they keep them coming.

By the way, Is Cinematic Titanic ever going to release more episodes? I like them, I just wish there were more of them.

CT’s riffings are the fullest and most robust in riffs per episode. I wish Rifftrax would add a writer with a fresh perspective once in a while to at least give them some added material. The guy who played Bob Honcho for instance.
To get to the quality of a mst3k later years episode, Rifftrax needs to add a lot more riffs per movie. (and good riffs, obviously).

@20..Someone asked Joel at one of the meet and greets when the next dvd will be released and Joel said they were thinking around September..The bad thing about CT is that they’re using their own money to produce their shows, which Rifftrax is not.I still say that CT needs to have a DONATE button on their site,so fans can contribute in helping these guys(and gal)put out more product and keep CT going in the future.
