Posted by Sampo, on March 2nd, 2020 MANHATTAN — James Lipton, who plumbed the dramatic arts through perceptive, mostly admiring interviews with celebrity actors as host of the Bravo television series “Inside the Actors Studio,” died at his home here on March2 of bladder cancer. He was 93.
MSTies will recall when Mike became Lipton during a host segment in episode 904- WEREWOLF.
The New York Times has coverage.

Posted by Erhardt, on February 25th, 2020 The Growler has posted a great article about Crist Ballas, hair and makeup artist for many MST3K episodes (and he also was the gorilla in a host segment in episode 211- FIRST SPACESHIP ON VENUS).
Posted by Erhardt, on February 22nd, 2020 The RiffTrax Live 2020 Kickstarter has reached its funding goal (but is still taking pledges). As a result, two new live shows have been announced:
Hobgoblins – June 11th
Amityville: The Evil Escapes – October 21st
As usual, both shows will be broadcast from the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee.
Posted by Sampo, on February 22nd, 2020 NetFlix has announced that it will cease offering ‘original series’ episodes (seasons 1-10).
However, it is important to note that many of those episodes will still be available on several cable and streaming services, not to mention YouTube. Cable channel IFC continues to show episodes in the wee hours. Shout Factory’s streaming service is still running them. In addition, you can see episodes on Twitch, Comet and Pluto (which also has a Rifftrax channel). And maybe other places (please correct me).
