LONDON — Actress Olivia Hussey (Eisley), who starred as a teenage Juliet in the 1968 film “Romeo and Juliet,” died Dec. 27 at her home here. She was 73.

Hussey was 15 when director Franco Zeffirelli cast her in his adaptation of the William Shakespeare tragedy after spotting her onstage.

MSTies will remember her role as The Mannerjay in the movie in episode 913- QUEST OF THE DELTA KNIGHTS.

GARDEN CITY, Mich. — Actor, comedian and poet R.C. Bates died Dec. 8 at his home here. Though some may recognize him from his memorable presence in the band Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” video (featuring that OTHER Chris Cornell), MSTies are sure to remember him as crusty caretaker Sam the Keeper in the movie in episode 904- WEREWOLF. He was 77.
