And by the way, Bill will join John Hodgman… Thursday, Oct. 3, for Hodgman’s show at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis.. Friday, Oct. 4, for Hodgman’s show at the Englert Theater in Iowa City, and… Saturday, Oct. 5, for Hodgman’s show at the Barrymore Theater in Madison, Wis. Sorry I missed those two earlier dates. I’m Mr. Short Notice this week. RiffTrax has something new for us, and I’m guessing they’re an outgrowth of the “Talkin’ RiffTrax” videos (like this one, if you haven’t caught any of them). They’re being called “Best of RiffTrax” and they’re essentially a collection excepts from three movies and riffs from Mike, Kevin and Bill.
It appears that some of these will feature movies that will have had full-length riffs — such as “Best of RiffTrax: Villains” — and some will feature movies they have never done — such as “Best of RiffTrax: ’90s Cyber Thrillers.” Alert regular Susan suggests:
I’d add: a church key (bottle opener) with the Schlitz logo on it. What’s your guess? An open thread for reports on the two Cinematic Titanic shows in Milwaukee this weekend.

Here’s a piece about the shows from the local NPR, with all five Titans in the studio together. We are saddened to report the loss of Jared Barlow, who frequently commented on Satellite News under the screen name “F Burroughs.” Jared passed away suddenly on Sept. 1st in Baltimore, MD. He was 43 years old.
Our condolences go to Jared’s family, including his sister, Joce, who informed us of his passing. |
