Weekend Discussion Thread: Alternate Stingers

Next week we’ll do our first episode with a stinger. Appropriately, alert reader sjk suggests:

I’d like to see one on alternate ideas for stingers. There have been a number of movies where I’ve thought “That would have been such a good stinger!” and I’m sure others have done the same.

Well, sure! For example, I always felt that a better stinger for episode 421- MONSTER A-GO-GO would have been the off-camera voice saying “ring-ring” to tell the actor to pick up the phone. Classic.

What’s your pick?

“Lazlow” Interviews Josh and Trace

Our pal “Lazlow the MST3K Guy” was planning to interview Joel while Cinematic Titanic was in Arizona recently, but Joel had to cancel at the last minute and Josh and Trace filled in. Lazlow also found himself unexpectedly filming outside without a windsock on the mic, so bear with him.

MST3K Roulette at Netflix

Netflix Instant added some new MST3K episodes recently but there seems to be a malfunction: Users are reporting that when you click on one title, you actually get a different one. According to reports on Twitter:
When you select “Hamlet” you get “Touch of Satan”
when you select “Red Zone Cuba” you get “Hamlet,”
when you select “I Accuse my Parents” you get “Girl in Golden Boots,”
when you select “Touch of Satan” you get “Incredibly Strange Creatures…,”
and when you select “Incredibly Strange Creatures…” you get “Red Zone Cuba.”

Are there any more? Report them in the comments…
