 Berlin, Germany– German film director Wolfgang Kohlhaase, known for “Solo Sunny” (1980), “The Break” (1989) and “Summer in Berlin” (2005), died Oct. 5. He was 91.
MSTies may be aware that he was one of the screenwriters who adapted the Stanislaw Lem novel “The Astronauts” into the movie in episode 211- FIRST SPACESHIP ON VENUS. There are a few obits on the web but so far all of them are in German. Thanks to Gordon for the heads up.  Italian actress Lydia Alfonsi died Sept. 21. She was 94. MSTies will recall that she played The Sybil in the movie in episode 502- HERCULES and played Megara (though she was uncredited) in the movie in episode 1108- THE LOVES OF HERCULES.
