“Creative Loafing Atlanta” has a short interview with Joel, in advance of next weekend’s Cinematic Titanic shows.
This week marks the first suggestion for a weekend discussion thread that I got via twitter. (And, as always, discussion thread suggestions are welcome.)

One we use around our house is “Well! Let’s not do THAT again!” (when something bad happens). What about you? Okay, big fat announcement from RiffTrax today.
The next Riff will be a live online riff of “Planet of the Dinosaurs.” Here’s how it’s going to work: It will be available as a video-on-demand (VOD) title (meaning the movie and the riff together, all synched up together) and as an MP3 track. If you get the MP3, you MUST use the “retromedia” version, available here. Other versions, including the one that Netflix has available, will not work for synching purposes. It will go on sale Friday, May 15, at about 11 p.m. Eastern… BUT! So, the way I figure it: $6.99 if you just want to watch the live show. $14.99 if you are going to be busy and want to watch it later (or many times) plus get the other goodies. The live event ticket can be bought here.
Update: another die-hard MSTie reveals himself — this one a writer at Portland Monthly Magazine.
DVD Talk reviews the RiffTrax “Reefer Madness” DVD…is quoted in a story about Chicago club owner Chris Ritter… Joel Hodgson is quoted in a story about Chicago club owner Chris Ritter… And the Oddly Enough blog at Reuters puts to rest a completely false rumor that MST3K is returning. |
